As Lutherans, what do we understand about government and our engagement in civic life? What are our responsibilities as citizens to our life together within a society? How do we share responsibility to seek the common good even as we may disagree about the best ways to achieve it?

The Cedarburg churches—Advent, Faith, Immanuel, and Trinity—will join together four Wednesday evenings, October 12, 19, 26, and November 2, at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the ELCA social message on “Government and Civic Engagement in the United States: Discipleship in a Democracy.”

Energetic civic engagement is part of our baptismal vocation—individually and as our public witness as church together. All are welcome for this important and lively discussion!
